Silver Sage Garden Inspiration

The courtyard at the Old Mill in Rose Valley is a combination of old world elegance and woodland magic, with it’s climbing ivy, crumbling stone arches and moss covered stones. It’s a secret hideaway outside of a bustling city. Couples can escape to the babbling brook, the towering trees and create a wedding day that looks like it belongs in a dusty, vintage novel.
Our color palette came from a strong urge to not compete with our natural surroundings, yet still bring something new to life. Silver sages , dusty blues and gray tones took the lead with potted herbs lining the table in rustic pots mixed with chunky pillar candles. The simplest place settings combined with vintage silver goblets and flatware brought an almost medieval feeling. Hand-made paper with the most delicate calligraphy featured a sketch of the venue in deeper shades of blue to contrast with the light and airy hues.
Our bride wore an ethereal, sheer dress by Tara Keely and wore a simple, chic French twist as she made her way among the trailing roses, through the pastures and to the water. She carried a magnificent bouquet of azaleas, peonies, veronica and campanelle that looked like it could have been foraged from our bride’s surroundings.
