Oh Avalon...my anti-bride! Contrary to what you're about to see, Avalon was not sold on the whole traditional bride thing. And you know what? I had her back. We are such huge fans of doing things your way that when a bride has different opinions of what's traditional, we're all for it. Avalon knew for sure that Michael was the one. And after our first meeting, we knew it too. The way he looked at her, spoke to her, everything, it was a sure sign that this was it. So when she wanted to piece together a gorgeous wedding her way, he had her back too.
She started by by representing her father's Hindu heritage with an incredibly gorgeous beaded sari, intricate henna and and the funnest jewelry collection I've seen and continued with some more traditional ideas: the white poufy dress and sparkly heels. She was radiant in both. All of her gorgeous details were caught by one of our favorite photographers, Samantha Jay Photography.
They chose another gorgeous spot, Greenville Country Club, which is a secret garden nestled in the suburbs of Wilmington, Delaware. The outdoor ceremony was perfect. The tented reception was perfect. The adorable details: olive leaf toss and succulent favors created her soft sage and white color palette. While she eschewed traditional floral centerpieces, olive leaf garlands surrounded pillar candles and created an amazing glow.
Avalon and Michel focused on what was important to them and we loved being able to help firm up those decisions and bring the romantic, refined feeling to life!
